Textbooks of Maths, Science and Engineering are meant to teach Maths , Science and Engineering. Whereas existing textbooks of Economics, Political Science, Law, Sociolgy are written to waste away time of students and ensure that they DO NOT know about many important concepts in these fields !!

Thats I come across students who have learnt economics in 11th / 12th and still dont know that RBI doesnt need gold to print notes !! And that gold standard was abolished in 1950.

And I meet BA political science who dont know anything about Jury System in west, Right to Recall in West and dont know that almost all police commissioners , district judges , district education officers and district public prosecutors are elected !! This is despite the fact that they took courses which compare US and Indian political establishments !!!

And LL B in India have no clue of how USA \ Europe had reduced corruption in their courts !!

And sociology graduates --- lesser said better.

The solution I propose is to stop ALL govt fundings for BA / MA / PhD courses in Economics, Political Science, Sociology . All these courses can be learnt via YT and net. And students who are interested in learning these courses will learn on themselves. Also, govt should de-recognize these subjects.

And law education should be made universal --- i.e. all students starting class-V or which ever age parents decide, should be taught law as subject.

As students read law and Gazette Notifications, they will automtically get introduced to concepts in Economics, Political Science, Socialogy etc. IOW, law education will subsume education of Economics, Political Science, Socialogy And it will not only give right information, but ensure that no relevant information gets skipped
