AAP had said that those whose electricity consumption is higher than 800 units per month will get NO 50% off or even 25% off, and they will face 10% extra charge. And AAP had also said that those whose water consumption is above 20000 liters per month will get NO free water and will have to pay higher charge for WHOLE consumption. Yet, amongst many upper class middle voters, AAP got many votes.

What could have been the reason?

IMO, the reasons are ---
.
1. paidmedia created a fake hope that AAP will reduce corruption,
.
2 upper middle class rightly or wrongly believes that BJP / Congress will never reduce corruption !!!
.
IOW , there was a large class of voters , which didnt vote for AAP for freebies ; and they knew that they would end up paying more in AAP regime. But they had (wrong) hopes that AAP will reduce corruption.
.
So all in all, BJP-supporters' claims that "Indian voters want freebies" is nothing but a lie. Its true that paidmedia has fooled voters, but mirage they offered was NOT freebies. And paidmedia could fool voters because --- voters have RUGHTLY decided that BJP \ Congress will never reduce corruption.

The mess isnt that AAP will not reduce corruption --- but AAP may handover whole Delhi to FDI !! IOW, AAP-apex isnt corrupt but worse than corrupt --- they are foreign elitemen's agents. But sadly voters dont know that because Congress / BJP leaders invested all the money they got in plots, shares and gold and never created a paidmedia to inform voters or even their own activists !!!

Solution I propose are given in my other status posts. But it is necessary to keep one thing in mind that promise of freebies doesnt get even 5% votes.
