Election commission should take manifesto from parties and candidates on affidavit and post on EC's website for charge of Rs 20 per page.

It is sickening to see "free wifi" promise before election, and then see "conditions apply" after elections !! And equally sickening to see promise of Rs 15 lakh for every poor family, and then end up with piddly Rs 300 per citizen , and that too none coming to any citizen.

Hopefully, manifesto as affidavit and putting manifesto on EC website will reduce some recklessness we see in promise-making before elections.
