I sincerely thank MH = Maharashtra CM Fadnavis and NaMo for clearing anti-cow-slaughter law in MH . But not much will come , as it is highly incomplete . Solution I propose is that activists should convince 45 crore voters to send orders to MPs / MLAs via SMS to get the other law-drafts passed.

The law-draft imposes 5 year punishment on cow slaughter which is sufficient, if police / judges actually carry So MH govt has done one good thing --- imposed 5 year sentence. But on other part ---- reducing corruption in policemen and judges , the track record of ALL Congress / BJP / AAP leaders have been abysmally poor. .
.
And as always, the cow slaughterers when caught, manage to replace cow meat caught in police custory (which is to be used as evidence) by buffalo meat and walk away. In such , threat of narcotest in public before Jurors is useful. But existing law and other laws have no clause which makes Jury trial and/or narcotest in public compulsory for those caught for cow slaughter. And CoBhAp-leaders arent interested at all in printing law-drafts for Jury Trial or narcotest on public.

So if punishment increases to 5 years, but if corruption in policemen and judges goes and on and on, then number of cows that will be saved wont be more than 25% or so.

Further, the goal is also to save replacement of desi cows with jersey. Different laws are need to reduce that , not using force, but using market forces. Again, no CoBhAp govt has worked to make laws which can help market forces save desi cow.
