Why BBC interview was scripted and criminal was tutored to say TRP-fetching statements

A criminal in prison gets lots of time and advices from other criminals in prison. and lawyers also advice them what to say. One thing they all learn is that if their case is in appeal, and it always pays to cry during interview , play sorry, claim that they didnt commit crime , SHOW SYMPATHY FOR VICTIM etc etc. WHY? because this increases the chances of getting lighter sentence in an appeal !!!

IOW, a criminal is always tempted to make statements in interview which will fetch him lighter sentence in appeal.

So when will criminal make statement contrary to above?
.
When he is paid by interview taker to make such statement !! And why would the criminal risk possibility of losing appeal for money? Because he wants money for lawyer or family , and he thinks that chances of getting lower sentence in appeal are very very low. The immediate gain of money outweights remote losses.
.
But unless the criminal is given money, he has NO reason to make statements that will reduce the chances of getting sentence reduced.

And the interview taker like statements that makes the show controversial and increase viewership !!!

And now its proven that interview taker had given Rs 40000 to the criminal.

So all in all , BBC interview was fixed.

All those who saw the interview only wasted their time , and made BBC rich
