Since Dec-2010, we have made several requests to Subramanian Swamy to put Janata Party manifesto of 1977 on Janata Party's website. He doesnt. We asked him several times if Janata Party 1977 manifesto had promise to Right to Recall, and he never replied. Yesterday, Nov-12, in sabhaa attended by 2000 people, I asked him if 1977 manifesto of Janata Party had Right to Recall promise. And with straight face, he said "NO. Janata Party never made any such promise !!". After intense googling, this what I found (see see page "6 ASIA" or search for word "recall" --http://www.larouchepub.com/…/eirv04n…/eirv04n09-19770229.pdf . The point-8 of political reforms says

(8) introduce electoral reforms after a careful consideration of suggestions made by various committees, including the Tarkunde Comm ittee and, in particular, consider proposals for recall of errant legislators and for reducing election costs as well as the voting age from 21 to 18

IOW, the manifesto had clear promise of Right to Recall !! And Subramanian Swami, in front of 2000 persons in front of TV/press, all says --- Janata Party never made such promise !!!

Thats why I say that RTR will come only via mass-movement and NOT via election. Many in BST etc claim that when their MPs get elected, they will bring RTR. Well, when they get elected, like Subranian Swamy, they will very likely forget the promise, forget enacting RTR.
