Assuming no EVM manipulation, Bihar elections prove that NaMo didnt lose BJP-supporters but also didnt gain very many new voters. Even after subtracting Bihari voters who have migrated out of state for work, voting % could have gone to 75% , but remained only around 55% to 60%. So NaMo could not gain even fence sitters , forget Nitish / Laloo / Congress supporters.
.
So law-drafts which NaMo printed in 520 days as PM have not created any significant difference in lives of people. Otherwise, at least 20% to 25% voters , who could have voted but DELIBERATELY didnt vote in 2010 or 2014, would have voted for NaMo in 2015.

.
Mohan Bhagwat's anti-reservation comments INCREASED BJP votes. How? Many RSS-workers are anti-reservation . And so they worked harder and harder. As per voters, OBCs were unlikely to vote for BJP anyway. If NaMo was CM candidate himself, then OBCs could have voted for NaMo. But NaMo was NOT a CM candidate. And Bihar BJP doesnt have any state leader , that people can trust as 100% non-nepotic and non-casteist. And BJP also opposed law-drafts which can reduce nepotism / casteism in administration and courts. If BJP had projected OBC as state CM, then many upper caste leaders and workers in Bihar BJP and Bihar RSS would have become inactive. So NaMo refused to disclose CM candidate. And so OBC voters went to Nitish / Laloo / Congress . Bhagwat's comments ensured that upper caste voters and workers stay with BJP and work harder. So Mohan Bhagwat's anti-reservation comments INCREASED BJP votes.
.
As far as reservation issue goes, BJP-leaders and RSS-leaders including NaMo have no conviction , no principles and no direction, They just go with flow. They see which statements will increase votes and make such statements. They have no stand on this issue
