Congress workers in late 1930s considered Duratma Gandhi as useless :
In later 1930s and 1940s, almost everyone in Congress grassroots and middle level considered Duratma Gandhi as Nikkamma i.e. useless, bogus and bakwaas. Which is why Mahatma Subhashchandra Bose got over 80% votes in the internal elections in Congress and Duratma Gandhi's chamcha Sitaramaiyah Pattabhi got mere 20%. This was despite the fact that election budget of Duratma Gandhi was 10-100 more than election budget of Mahatma Bose. Every grass root worker wanted Duratma Gandhi to have no say in Congress.
===========
How British made Jawaharlal Nehru (alias Jawaharlal Ghazi) PM, and not Sardar Patel :
In 1947, every grassroot and middle worker in Congress saw Jawaharlal Nehru (alias Jawaharlal Ghazi) as a drunkard, lampat, idiot and a useless piece of cr1p. All wanted Sardar Patel to become PM. But British wanted Jawaharlal Nehru (alias Jawaharlal Ghazi) to become PM, as Jawaharlal Nehru (alias Jawaharlal Ghazi) was weak, idiot and easy to manipulate. So the British asked Duratma Gandhi to support Jawaharlal Nehru (alias Jawaharlal Ghazi). Duratma Gandhi saw that if he supports Sardar Patel, then British paid media will call him bad. Duratma Gandhi was publicity hungry freak, and so always went by what media-controller said. So Duratma Gandhi said "Hell with Indian Interests, make Jawaharlal Nehru (alias Jawaharlal Ghazi) PM and push Sardar Patel aside".
The Congress ran on money from Indian industrialists like Bajaj, Tata, Birla, Sarabhai etc. These industralists depended on British for their factories' parts. So British asked all Indian industrialists to ask all Congress leaders to accept Nehru as PM. So when British asked (forced) Indian industrialists to force all Congress leaders to support Nehru as PM, the industrialists obeyed them like paaltoo. So all Congress leaders changed their stand one by one, and started opposing Sardar and supporting Jawaharlal Ghazi for the post of the PM. This is how British managed to make Jawaharlal Ghazi the first PM of India
