The RIGHT allegation against maggie was that it is high calorie and fattening (which isnt illegal) but can decrease sale. Instead, so called Swadeshi are busy making FALSE allegations that maggie has 17 ppm lead (permissible limit = 2 ppm) and it has higher MSG !!! And they are giving HUGE publicity to maggie.

Maggie has 17 ppm lead in masala , which is just 1 gram. In raming 80 gram of noodles, there was no lead to speak of. So total lead when masala and noodles are mixed will be < 20 / 80 ppm = 0.25 ppm !!!

So courts will have no option but to give clean certificate to maggi on lead issue. And ditto in case of MSG.

And when courts give "clean" certificate, the whole issue that maggi is fattening will get buried !!! And sale of maggie will quadrapule.

Never ever make a FALSE half backed allegations. But somehow, self certificed swadeshi cant do anything beyond slogan shouting and have only ended up creating a campaign which will quadrapule sale of maggie in 2-3 months
