When bullet train from Ahmedabad-Mumbai starts , Shatabdi will be made cheaper and slower, and so upper middle class will be forced to give up Rs 1000 shatabdi and instead use Rs 2800 bullet train !!!

Shatabdi is 8 hrs and can be made 5 hrs. But that wont happen, because 5 hrs shatabdi for Rs 1000 will kill 3 hr bullet train of Rs 2800 . So Shatabdi will remain 8 hrs.

Worse, tix price will be reduced from Rs 1000 to say Rs 800 or even less. So middle class which sometimes avoids shatabdi will now run for shatabdi and so it will be always full !! And so business people and upper middle class who generally decide at last moment will be left ONLY with one option --- Rs 2800 bullet train , even if savings of 4 hrs has no value.

This is quite common in marketing --- worsen the quality and availability of cheaper options so that one is forced to take expensive option. eg An icecream shop I know used to sell 3 packs --- 250 gm , 500 gm and 1000 gm. Just a few days back, it stopped selling 250 gm packs !!!! This was to force people to buy 500 gm packs !!! Likewise, I once wanted to buy milk powder and it comes in 50 gm pack , 100 gm pack as well as all the way to 500 gm pack. The super market ONLY had 500 gm pack. I wnt to near by small time grocery shop, and he had 50 gm pack as well !!

So come bullet train, and shatabadi will be cheaper so that it gets full and becomes unavailble for last week travellers, and its quality will also worsen !!

Also, bullet trains are 100% funded by foreigners !! GoI isnt spending even a penny on them !! So all profits will also go them.

Solution I propose is to put more tracks and straingthen the tracks, and add / remove some stations, so that shatabdi can be reduced from 8 hrs to 5 hrs. Sadly, NaMo has opposed this solution and so have all NaMo-andhbhagats !! So solution I propose is that we activists should convince voters to send ordre to MP via SMS "#NoRailwayFDI"
