Birds getting hurt by lite flying --- solution is to ban use of glass powder (kanch) in thread, not to run campaign against kite flying

Use of glass powder (kanch) in string to fly kites should be banned. Because as city density increases, such glass powder coated string can cause injury to humans.

Instead of glass coated strings, one can use wax coated string (minaya doro).

Many have started maligning kite flying by citing that birds die due to kite flying and so kite flying should be avoided. Well, first, number of birds getting injured is very very small. It is tiny fraction compared to birds dying due to us of pesticides (pesticides are consumed by earthworms, and birds eating those earthworn die).

And deaths of birds are NOT due to threads or kites, but due to glass powder.

Anyway, my appeal to ban use of glass powder is only to protect humans driving scooters or walking.
