Increasing foreign dominance does increase prosperity and improve governance in short run. And no one knows long run. IMO , in long run we lose. But it its IMO. And it is fact that in short run, increasing foreign dominance does increase prosperity and improve governance .

SoKo , Singapore are more dependent on West than India. And so is Philippines, Taiwan, Saudi Arabia , Dubai etc . And many countries in world. And living standards and GOVERNANCE in those countries is far far better than in India. Why? Because foreign companies who run administration in those countries apply best practices which they have created in their countries. And foreign dominance does replace local religions by western religions.

And new form of foreign dominance has built in feature of "mirage independence". Here , the top leader of the nation is projected as someone who is defiant of west to please local voters and activists. And at the same time, he gives open field to west to take over all avenues of economy.

eg Singapore's LKY was projected as someone who was openly defiant of West . All his postures were always anti-west and that kept all Singaporeans happy. But at the end of the day, LKY onloy converted Siganpore into USUK stronghold , who cant live for 20 days without their active assistance.

In India too, PM and next PM namely Mahatma Arvind Gandhi have anti-Weste image and mannerism. They are held as someone who are openly defiant to West , and that pleases anti-West people in in RSS, VHP, BJP and even Congress, AAP, CPM etc. But both are giving one after another economic avenues to West. And there is huge short term improvement in living starndard and GOVERNANCE due to that.

So those who oppose Western domination and FDI etc in India have upward steep hill to climb. Because all countries which accepted western dominance have better living standard and better GOVERNANCE .

Improving living standard and GOVERNANCE without FDI is possible, but ONLY with RTR , JurySys, wealth tax etc. This something rank and file of CoBhAp and Indian elitemen oppose. And paidmediamen now all live on breadcrumbs thrown by west and so are all supporters of FDI. In such cases, those who oppose have a lot of hard work to do
