Thieves stole jewellery and destroyed all land ownership records papers and FD papers etc !!!

A distant neighbor of mine suffered a theft some 2 months back. Today , I came to know, that thieves broke it, stole some jewellry cash worth some Rs 2 lakhs. But the bigger damage the thieves did was that the thieves destroyed ALL papers they found in home !! They destroyed all FD papers , property papers, bank passbooks, chequebooks etc. They also broke his PC and destroyed his hard disks !!!

I suggest to all to keep copy of ALL papers you have in bank locker , so at least you have a copy. And keep ORIGINAL papers at back lockers OR if you keep at home, then keep in place where thieves wont suspect.

The solution at society level is to keep ALL property records in electronic form on torrents. Torrents are practically indestructible.

As per the victim, there is no easy solution now.
