Punjab Municipal Polls 26-feb-2015 ----- Independents and small parties get 623 / 2037 = about 33% seats ; and in 22 / 129 = about 18% towns , the independents and small parties get majority i.e. more than half the seats !!! AAP had NOT participated at all !!

if independents + small parties got 33% seats, they must have got 40% or more votes, Or may be over 50% votes. Because many many independents lose even after getting good votes.

SAD / BJP had fought together. But still, they got only a bare thin majority -- 1161 / 2037 .

IOW, Punjab is anti-Congress , anti-BJP to the extent that they will vote for anyone and everyone. And NaMo has failed to convince people of Punjab that BJP deserves a chance.

Its not that AAP is is very popular --- because AAP didnt contest and independents worn !! But if AAP contests, then AAP would have won landslide and called its positive victory.

So as far as nationalists go, the message is clear --- they better start working towards a TRUE nationalist true anti-corruption alternative, and dump BJP / SAD asap. Otherwise, Punjab is all set to fall into the lap of anti-national , psuedo-anti-corruption AAP. And its NOT because AAP / Arke are popular . But only because they are fed up of BJP / SAD / Congress
