An important topic is privacy -- financial and personal. Almost every law-draft will effect or deal with this issue.
Pls google on "end of privacy" and you will get lots of articles. Pls use those articles to make up your mind on financial privacy and personal privacy.
My take is as follows.
Financial privacy is history. The Govt will know everything about everyone's private financial life. The way to reduce ill-effects of end of financial privacy is "equality over financial information" i.e. law-drafts should ensure that those out of power have access to all financial information about everyone that those in power have. The inequality over financial information is causing real damage, not end of financial privacy. And if one wants to have financial privacy --- sorry --- this doesnt seem viable anymore.
Personal privacy is also now history. If you cant own it, dont do it. The Govt will know almost everything about everyone's personal life soon. The way to reduce ill-effects of end of personal privacy is "equality over personal life information" i.e. law-drafts should ensure that those out of power have access to all personal-life information that those in power have.
It may sound scary. But as internet, mobile phones, credit cards etc become universal - all financial and personal privacy is coming to end. What is worse is that in countries slike USA, large-corporate-owners have more information than Govt !!! i.e. corporate-owners know more about financial and private lives of Govt employees and citizens than Govt officials know about financial and personal lives of its own employees , corporate-heads and citizens.
So sooner or later, one will need to take stand on law-drafts dealing with this issue.
So pls google on google on "end of privacy" and make up your mind on financial privacy and personal privacy.
