From day one, I and many (not all) other colleagues at Right to Recall Group have said that gohatya ban should be implemented state by state, and so it will pass in ALL states except a few such as JK / NE . And In JK / NE , cow slaughter is minimal anyway , and once transfer of cows from one state to another state will end, cow slaughter in JK / NE will further reduce (because it is very expensive to raise cows in JK / NE).

Many RRG workers demand / propose NATIONWIDE central law to ban cow slaughter. I have never supported this nation wide law. The law-drafts on ban I have proposed are statewide. And law-drafts I propose end cow transfer from one state to another so so will reduce slaughter.

BJP-Ministers lied and lied thru teeth and said that "once BJP comes into power, BJP will implement gohatya ban ACROSS India within weeks !!!!".

I had said from day one --- that such statements are class-I lies. Gohatya ban is implemented by policemen and lower courts, both are administered by state govt and so central laws on this issues will be pointless.

Now BJP Central Minister Kiran Rijuju OPENLY says that "I eat beef and do whatever you like" !! Of course . he now says that paidmedia misquoted him !!!

All in all, BJP's slogan is "gay hamari mata hei ; is se vote aataa hei" i.e. "cow is out mother and she gets us votes". Other than vote-milking, BJP-leaders, NaMo-included, have no interest in protecting cows.

Those who want to protect cows should order MPs / MLAs to pass law-drafts that would reduce slaughters.
