Too late , too too late --- but better late then never ---- we should order MPs via SMS to start Rs 2000 / mo pension to those who were imprisoned under MISA during Emergency. Devi Indira Amma was forced to lift emergency due to their sacrifice.

If they all had worn bengals (chudia) and remained with those who didnt risk imprisonment, emeregency would have lasted for many many more years and Indian may have become another Pakistan.

Some 5 lakh persons risked imprisonment in 1975-1977 . They were imprisoned because they opposed Devi Indira Amma or opposed local govt officers for their corruption etc. Many were even forced to go under vasectomies.

We all benefitted due to them. The final decision of Devi Indira Amma to lift Emergency came because of those who risked the imprisonment.

We all benefitted due to their sacrifice.

Its time we honor them and also compensate them. Rs 2000 / mo pension , till they pass away and then to their family members for N years , whichever LATER ,
