Why did Duratma Gandhi , Jawaharlal Ghazi , Vallabhbhai Patel , Lal Bahadur Shashtri et al opposed the proposal to re-instante Azad Hind Fauz soldiers back into Indian Army? Or give them HONORABLE discharge with pensions etc?

(And here , let me add --- Jinha did take back those AHF soldiers into new Pakistani Army and those who had lost life or limb in AHZ were all duly compensated !!! .So while we can rightly curse Jinha on slaughtering lakhs of Indians in Pakistan and forcing 4 crore to flee, he had some plus points over Duratma Gandhi, Jawaharlakl Ghazi, Vallabhbhai Patel , Lal Bahadur Shahstri etc.

So co-question is --- what made / forced Jinha to take these AHF soldiers back into Indian Army?)

Why did Duratma Gandhi , Jawaharlal Ghazi , Vallabhbhai Patel , Lal Bahadur Shashtri et al opposed the proposal to to give pensions to freedom fighters who had lost life / limbs / mental stability due to Britishers' tortures and imprisonment?

(Compensation to Azad Hind Fauz soldiers and Freedom Fighters was started by Devi Indira Amma in 1972. Till then, the compensation was zero. )

Why did Janata Party leaders in 1978 , including Morarji Desai, Subramanian Swamy, Lalu Yadav, Mulayam Yadav etc opposed the proposal to compensate the 5 lakh men who had risked imprisonment during 1975 - 1977 Emergency rule , and even those who died or suffered loss of limbs?

And in each case, why did activists / voters also refused to give them compensation?
