1. Kiran Bedi --- anti-corruption till 2011 , pseudo-anti-corruption from 2011 to 2015, and pro-corruption from 13-jan-2015 till now. Why the transformation? Due to the fear of becoming unknown after once having become well known !!!

I often ask activists to read about two persons --- Mahatma Batukesthwar Dutt and Hiroo Onada . Their first reaction is "who Mahatma Batukesthwar Dutt and who Hiroo Onada !!" . Their asking who Hiroo Onada is OK, as he was a Japanese hero. (google in Hiroo Onada for more). But when they say "who Mahatma Batukesthwar Dutt ", thats when I say --- "see, you must learn about Mahatma Batukesthwar Dutt and then ask again "who Mahatma Batukesthwar Dutt" !!

The key thing to learn from life of Mahatma Batukeshwar Dutt is --- (1) how badly people become unknown after becoming well known !! And how badly people get eclipsed. (2) How will people react when after becoming well known , they are sliding towards becoming unknown.

KiBe had been anti-corruption and sincere since start of her career. Thats why she once got transferred to Mizoram , got shumted to traffic, got shunted to supervision of prisons and finally got shunted to post like "Director General of India's Bureau of Police Research and Development" which have no real executive powers. And she was denied post of police chief of Delhi, which she much deserved. And finally , she decided to retire 1.5 years before retirement age. In the ear, where officers work hard to get extension, she seeked retirement. And after that, Central/ State Govts across India , be Congress or BJP, didnt give her any assignments. All that was ONLY because she had non-corruption anti-corruption and non-compromising nature,

Then why did KiBe become psuedo-anti-corruption in apr-2011 and now she has become pro-corruption?

Well, first see the pseudo-anti-corruption stand KiBe took in apr-2011. In apr-2011, she supported Janlokpal-draft, which was nothing but a royal piece of junk. KiBe also opposed the proposal to print Right to Recall Janlokpal clauses in the Janlokpal draft, which was MUST to ensure that Janlokpals do not become corrupt. And KiBe also opposed the proposal to print Jury System clauses in Janlokpal clauses. All that was ONLY because there was intense MNC-owners' pressures not to have RTR-Janlokpal and Jury System clauses in the Janlokpal drafts. IOW, Janlokpal was a psedo-corruption-drama meant ONLY to waste away time and energy of activists .

And finally, come jan-2015, and KiBe has officially joined a pro-corruption party namely BJP. And its NOT the case that BJP has become non-corrupt !! Had she joined BJP after BJP had become non-corrupt, then there was a valid point. But BJP is almost as corrupt as it was in apr-2011. And Delhi BJP-leaders are no different from Congress. But KiBe has ignored all that.

The most important reason why many good anti-corruption etc leaders become pro-corruption is because they are too scared of living with like an unknown common man , after they have gained such fame and limelight. And so they make any compromises needed to keep the light on themselves.

Thats the best part to learn from biography of Mahatma Batukeshwar Dutt. He chose to become as unknown common man, but he didnt join corrupt parties like Congress etc.

So read about the eventual fate of Mahatma Batukeshwar Dutt. Thats the fate every activist is almost certain to face. And afraid of that fate, most, to the extent of almost all, activists collapse, and join pro-corruption parties like Congress or BJP, or form psuedo-anti-corruption party like AAP.
