Gajendra Singh Chauhas as FTII Chairman : NaMo's decision to appoint Gajendra Singh alias Yudhishthir as Chairman FTII is NOT wrong IMO. But SoMoKe's decision to continue FTII is wrong.

I see NOTHING wrong in NaMo's decision to appoint Gajendra Singh Chauhan alias Yudhishthir as Chairman of FTII. Gajendra Singh's career had been low because he refuse to psuedo-secularism , which is necessary in bollywood. So he could not get role in A-grade movies and had to confine to to B-grade. And anyway, most A-grade movies are only polished B-grade movies only. So there is no wrong on working in B-grade movies.

He has been active BJP member and office bearer since 2004 and so it is obvious that BJP will consider him.

The real issue is ---- Govt should NOT waste money and land in institutes like FTII. Govt is spending Rs 12 lakhs per FTII student pet year !!! This is over 3 three times MBBS and IIT. FTII course is 3 years and so Govt spends Rs 36 lakhs per student over enture course, and this too is more than MBBS and IIT !!! And many in FTII take over 4 years to complete this 3 year course !!!

To this Rs 36 lakhs, add deemed rent of the land. FTII outputs some 60 students per year, and occupies 21 acres of land, Lets do the maths on land rent.

Land = 21 acres
.
Land in meters = 21 * 4000 = 84000 sqm
.
prce per sqmeter in pune = Rs 100,000 low
.
Total price of land = Rs 84000 sqm * Rs 100,000 per sqm = Rs 840 crore !!

Lets take land rent as 3% of land price = 2520 lakhs !!!

number of students per year = 60
.
So land rent per student = Rs 42 lakhs !!!!

Now many intelligent paideconomists with 4 digit IQ and other super-intelligent people with 4 digit IQ say that land rent should be ignored !!

Well, my IQ is mete 104 , and so I *will* take deemed land rent into account. Because of GoI rents that land away, then that land would fetch income and would bring down land prices
.
So all in all, Rs 12 lakh of direct expenses and Rs 42 lakh of deemed land rent , GoI is spending Rs 54 lakh per students.

I know good small time trusts, who teach primary students for Rs 1000 per month i.e. Rs 12000 per year, INCLUDING land costs !!. So by shutting down FTII and giving the plot on rent , the money saved and earned would teach 27000 kids !!!

So SoMoKe's decision to continue FTII is wrong. FTII should be privatized and new owner should be asked to pay the land rent.
