It is sheer non-sense that Idol-worshipping (murti-puja) and paganism (multigod) weakens society. Greeks, Romans , Vikings and of course many Indian Kings were murtipujak / pagans

Paganism means believing in multiple gods , and most pagans are murti-pujaks.

Many "enlightened" people, such as BJP MP Paresh Raval, Kshay Kumar , Amri Khan, Hirani and many many more are peddling logic that murtipuja is bad and weakens society. And many peddle the logic one god increases strength and multi god weakens society.

Greeks were multipujakas and believed in many gods. They defeated Turkey, Iran and came all the way to Yamuna.

Romans were multipujakas and believed in many gods. They conquered almost half the Europe , defeated Turkey, Northern Africa, Egypt, Iraq and sevaral parts of West Asia.

Vikings were pagans. They conquered much of Europe.

And there are dozens of Indian Kings. I am skipping their names because most of the readers already know them.

And Chinese / Japanese too follow murtipuja .
