A room has one TV and 1000 persons, and each has remote to change channel. Obviously, there will be chaos.

Now say you have to design new remote R and one equipment E as follows

Each person will have remote R'

Each remote R will send signal to equipment E and not TV directly
.
Equipment E will send signal to TV , and TV will listen to E only and not R
.
Say remote R has screen as well, Equipment E also has a screen, and E and R can both talk to each other, But two R cant talk to each other.

So now what logic will you put in equipment E and remote R so that chjannel change can occur. i.e. current channel # M is playing and each user wans to switch to some channel. What logic / protocol will you put in remotes R and equipment E so that E decided which channel should be changed next?
