(a) Teaching poor kids versus (b) Working to bring Right to Recall District Education Officer etc law-drafts .
.
Why IMO the junior-non-80G-activists, should work to bring RTR-DEO etc law-drafts. And why teaching poor kids is IMO just a waste of time. And yet why do most "senior" "activists" insist on teaching poor kids and oppose RTR-DEO etc law-drafts?

chap-1 : About activist and activism
.
To start with, I would state my general views on an "activist" in India.
.
An activist is a person , who says that "I will spend some of my time \ money \ energy to bring change in India even if I dont get any votes or money or fame in return" . Any person who has conditions like "I must get money / votes / fame first or sometime later , and then only I can deliver change or then only I will try to deliver change" may indeed be a good businessman or a good political leader. But a person who is having precondition or expectation of returns is not an activist. Now a non-activist isnt a bad person, unless that non-activist is pretending that he is an activist.
.
I broadly classify activists in to following main types :-
.
1. senior activist ---- such as myself, who has been working for several years, , is putting say over 20 hours a week or more for a long time, and also has several junior activists following him
.
2. junior activist ---- someone who is putting say only 4 hrs a week to say 10 hrs a week. And he is unable to spare time to do original work, and so generally follows one or MORE THAN ONE senior activist
.
3. 80G-activist aka pseudo-activist ------ a person who is pretending to be activist, but not actually an activist. He is working for money, govt grants, CSR grants, fame, political positions etc !!! eg IMO Mahatma Arvind Gandhi had started India Against Corruption with sole goal of gaining apex political position !! And so IMO Mahatma Arvind Gandhi was / is non-80G-activist. RSS-apex does a lot of social work such as blood donation, nationalism song singing etc but goal is to maximize vote gathering for BJP !! So RSS-apex such as Mohan Bhagawat is IMO 80G-activist. A professional who is OPENLY working for money fame, and doesnt not even call himself an activist, is NOT an 80G-activist. He is simply a non-activist.
.
4. non-80G-activist aka true-activist ------ the real activist , whose PRINCIPLE reason and motive behind is to bring important changes in India
.
5. confusion whether a particular activist is an 80G-activist or a non-80G-activist ------- almost all activists will say that they are doing their activism NOT for money or fame or power or immortality , and are really interested only in bringing changing India !! So each person has to decide on his own, whether an activist is 80G-activist or non-80G-activist !!!
.
6. Political activist ------- activist who is partly or wholly political i.e. has openly declared aims to bring political changes in India
.
7. Apolitical activist ---- an activist who claims has no political motives. Many activists claim that they have NO political motives , Many take pride in the saying that they are not interested in politics. And many PROUDLY ridicule elected or unelected people who are political.
.
8. Non-election political activist --- political activist are of further two types --- non-election and election-oriented. The non-election political activist keep saying that they want political change in India, but they will NEVER ever contest election or campaign for any party / candidates. eg Kiren Bedi , Mahatma Arvind Gandhi etc used to say that "we want political change in India, but we will never contest elections !!" . They were non-election political activist , back then. Duratma Anna is also a non-election political activist --- he has never contested election or openly supported any candidate.
.
9. Election-oriented political activist ---- ( like myself ), activist who have almost always said that "I want to bring political change, and I will contest elections and / or campaign for others".
.
10. Non-activist-leaders ---- many political leaders say that they will bring whatever change that can come via election winning, i.e. they will try to bring change ONLY if they first get political positions. IOW, their statement is clear "first, you give me political positions, and then and then only I will work to bring change in India". They dont say "whether I get votes or not, I will try to bring change in India". eg NaMo has never been an activist, and also been political worker or political leader.Same for all BJP / Congress leaders. In contrast, AAP leaders were all activists (and still claim they are activist) !!
.
---------
.
Some common types of activists
.
1. senior non-80G-activist ------------- a senior activist who claims that his MAIN goal to bring positive long lasting changes in India and he has no motive to gain money, fame, political positions etc , and he is what he says
.
2. senior 80G-activist ------------- a senior activist who claims that his MAIN goal to bring positive long lasting changes in India and he has no motive to gain money, fame, political positions etc , and he is speaking lies. i.e. he has motives such as money , fame etc.
.
3. junior non-80G-activist ------------- an activist who is relatively young, and has limited time say 4 hrs to say 10-15 hrs a week , and he intends to bring positive change in India . He has an alternate career, and isnt interested in becoming a senior activist for a while.
.
4. junior 80G-activist -------- an activist who is relatively young, and has limited time say 4 hrs to say 10-15 hrs a week , and he intends to start his own NGO and collect grants, donations, get votes etc etc
..

.
chap-2. Senior activists in the field of education
.
Now, I will compare and contrast two types of SENIOR activists , both of whom claim that they are non-80G-activists i.e. they are selfless and committed to bring change in India.
.
1. In the first group, the senior activist would be owning an NGO which takes grants to teach poor kids, and they recruit junior-non-80G-activists to teach poor kids. Their goal, as they say, is not to earn money or earn fame or later gain any political positions. Their goal , as they say, is to ensure that poor kids get education and so society improves. They ask junior-activists to teach poor kids for free or almost free.
.
2. The second group has senior activists like myself. We may or may not be owning NGO or may be running political group / party. We ask junior non-80G-activists to publicize law-drafts such as Right to Recall District Education Officer, I , and most of us, ask junior-activists NOT to spend time in teaching poor kids. We consider it as waste of time. IMO, all the time should be spent in publicizing RTR-DEO-law-drafts, JurySys over Teaching staff law-drafts, Saatyaa System law-drafts and other law-drafts to improve education.
..
The senior activists who own NGOs and ask junior non-80G-activists to spend time in teaching poor kids, almost often oppose RTR-DEO-law-draft, "JurySys over Teaching Staff in Govt schools" law-draft and Saatyaa System law-draft. In general, they oppose the very idea of supporting any law-drafts !! Many of them take pride in the fact that they do NOT waste their time in supporting / opposing any law-drafts !!! They dismiss supporting / opposing law-drafts as "political" steps, which they cant take, as they are "apolitical". And they ask junior activists to spend all time in teaching poor kids, and ask junior activists NOT to waste time in working for these law-drafts.
.
Their opposing RTR-DEO-law-draft aside, they refuse to give any law-drafts by which education in govt schools can be improved.
.
========
.
chap-3 : which action is LESS inefficient in your opinion ---- work to bring RTR-DEO-law-drafts or spend all the time directly to teach poor kids?
.
So, the questions I put before all junior-non-80G-activists are following
.
1. Which activity is less inefficient ---- (a) teaching poor kids, and opposing law-drafts to improve govt schools (b) oppose the proposal to teach poor kids and work to bring law-drafts such as RTR-DEO, JurySys , Saatyaa System etc
.
2. Based on answer to (1) , one can decide why NGO-owners ask junior activists to teach poor kids and ask them to oppose RTR-DEO-law-drafts and other law-drafts
.
Lets put some numbers as in year 2015. India's population is 125 crore. India . has some 30 crore citizens between the age of 5 years and 18 years, who are school going age. Say at least one teacher is needed to teach 100 kids. So at least 30 lakh teachers are needed, each spending at least 40 hours a week, like a regular full time job. Now if that work is to be done by part time volunteers each giving only 10 hours a week, then we need 1.2 crore volunteers.
.
How many volunteers across India will be willing to spend 10 hours a week, in a given year? My guess is -- less than 10 lakh volunteers will be willing to spend 10 hours a week, and they are divided into 10s of projects such education, health, cleanliness, anti-corruption demonstrations etc etc So number of volunteers willing to give 10 hours a week will be less than say 10 lakh. IOW, it is NOT even 10% of the requirement.
.
So IMO, volunteers should focus on reducing inefficiencies of teaching staff in govt, so that the lakhs and lakhs of teachers , who are already employed in Govt schools do properly teach these 30 crore students. The volunteers should focus on ensuring that leakages in govt staff reduces so that more teachers can be hired at lesser costs.
.
And above all, the biggest problem in education is motivating the student. The ENVIRONMENT needs to ensure that the student spends maximal time on learning, and is motivated to learn. This is what Saatyaa system ensures.. Saatyaa system's involves organizing one comment test every 2 weeks across district , and one common test every three months in state, and one common test across nation every year for all students from class-I to class-12 !! The tests will be subjects like Maths, Science etc. The tests will enable each student to see his position at district / state / national level wrt all other students of his class. This will increase competitiveness in students and make them study harder and harder. The details of Saatyaa System is at " RRG proposals to improve Maths, Law etc. Education at https://facebook.com/notes/10150425669141922 " .
.
The Saatyaa is NOT possible without Right to Recall District Education Officer, RTR State Education Minister and RTR National Education Minister. And it required a staff of several thousand technicians, which is NOT possible without A few lakh volunteers working 5 hours to 10 hours a week can NOT organize even a Tahsil (Taluko) wise exam, forget district / nation wide exams. IOW< "volunteer teaching" will be always void of centralized exams, which are a powerful motivators for the students.
.
Now a junior-80G-volunteer is someone who wants to to set up his own NGO and then collect grants or donations or get fame or get votes etc. For him, volunteering to teach poor kids is a good "business". This status post is NOT for him.
.
My suggestions are ONLY for junior NON-80G-activist, whose goal is NOT to collect grant / votes etc. but his goal is to make sure that India survives, and Indian improves. And his one goal is education. And some career senior activist, who owns an NGO, has convinced him that junior activist that the junior activist should spend his hours NOT in publicizing Right to Recall DEO law-drafts etc, but DIRECTLY teach poor kids. Because "RTR-DEO-law-draft will never come", as most NGO-owners say, while directly teaching poor kids will give tangible results in short time.
.
Summing up -----
.
1. You are only 10 lakh in numbers, and wont become 20 lakhs. And you are RIGHTLY split across several causes. As far as improving education goes, you are only about 1 lakh or 5 lakh in numbers
.
2. You DIRECTLY cant teach even 1 crore kids, forget 30 crore kids. You simply dont have enough man hours to each even 1 crore kids.
.
3. If you decide to work to FORCE PM \ CMs \ MPs \ MLAs etc to print Law-drafts such as ------ (a) RTR-DEO, RTR-State-Education-Minister, RTR-National-Education Minister (b) Jury System over Govt Teaching Staff and (c) Saatyaa System --- then education of all 30 crore kids will improve..
So IMO,, if your goal is to improve education in India for all 30 crore kids, then IMO, less inefficient way to spend your time is to work to bring RTR-DEO-etc law-drafts in India. IMO, you must not waste even one minute in teaching poro kids DIRECTLY.
======================
.
chap-4. Why most senior activists insist on opposing RTR-DEO-law-drafts etc and insist that junior activists must spend all their time in teaching poor kids?
.
AFAIT , the few lakh JUNIOR activists who want improvement in education in India should focus on bring law-drafts succh as RTR-DEO-law-draft, JurySys-law-draft, Saatyaa-system-law-draft etc etc. And they MUST NOT waste time in teaching kids directly.
.
If you agree, then a question comes --- why do almost all SENIOR activists in the field of teaching poor kids oppose RTR-DEO-law-draft? Why do they oppose JurySys over TEaching Staff law-draft? Why do they oppose Saatyaa System? And why do they also oppose RTR-State-Education Minister, RTR-National-Education-Minister etc etc law-draft?
.
My allegation is that --- they are ONLY interested in grants, fame , votes etc. And they know that if they were to support law-drafts like RTR-DEO etc, then they will lose all paidmedia coverage, lose all grants and lose chances of getting tickets from established parties like CoBhAp. IOW, their education activity is just a plank to get donations , fame and later voters and political positions.
.

.
chap-5 : Limitations of classroom teachings in education
.
The classroom teaching is grossly overhyped. and its importance is overstated. The real teacher in a society is war. War is exam as well as the best opportunity to learn. But we cant create wars just to learn.
.
The second best teacher is open market competition. In open market competition, the investor / employers learn on their own and also learn from competition. And employees learn from their employers. The employer is a harsh but the second best teacher world can provide to an employee. The pre-condition for open market competition is ---- the employer / investor should be free to do whatever that is not prohibited by majority of citizens, and crackdown on investors / employers should be fast and heavy, if they do something that is prohibited. Again, Jury System is necessary condition for this. And other law-drafts that assist employers and investors are RTR-judges, RTR-police-chiefs, RTR-District-Labor-Commissioners etc.
.
The third best teacher is open competitive exams. A student should be made to face 1-4 such exams every year, so that he can train himself. The results should come fast. The Saatya System creates large scale district / state / nationwide competitive exams, which will make motivate students to study hard.
.
The classroom teacher is the forth best teacher. But most educationists insist on ignoring role of war, market competition and competitive exams in education. And the educationists insist on classroom teaching only. The so called senior "activists" also insist ONLY on classroom teachings and insist on ignoring role of war, market competition and competitive exams in education.
.
So all in all, the classroom teaching you do are LEAST important factors in education. And that too, by opposing RTR-DEO-law-drafts, and by spending all time in teaching poor kids, you are doing in least inefficient way.
.
=====
.
chap-6 : Summary
.
The senior activist , who opposes RTR-DEO and insists that you spend all time in teaching ONLY because his goal is to collect donations, get fame, and also get votes and political positions.
.
Pls dont waste time after them --- they are just using you. Instead, please spend time in publicising law-drafts such as RTR-DEO, RTR-Education-Minister, Saatya System etc. For drafts, pls see chapter-30 in " Right to Recall Manifesto, English, aka 301.pdf athttps://www.facebook.com/groups/righttorecallparty/10152114637883103/"
