Rising plastic pollution --- how plastic pollution has made non veg food more toxic than veg food.

Rising plastic pollution has increased toxicity of both -- non-veg as well as veg food. But a much higher level in non veg food.

Because plastic grains do get into food of animals and from there, get into parts of animals. And they also increase cancer in animals. Whereas much less plastic gets into plants and edible parts of plants, such as seeds , flowers and fruits. And plants have almost zero "cancer" issue, And "cancerous" tissues of plant i.e. tissues which show abnormal growth have no effect on those who eat those tissues. Where as animal cancerous cells can cause damage to non veg eaters, not because cancer is contagious, but cancer cells have more toxic substances.and higher level of (abnormal) growth inducing hormones in them.

Here, Jains can score a point over non-jains. When plant is given toxic water or toxic fertilizer having more chemicals or more plastic grains, some portions will get into roots, a much lesser in stem and a much much lesser in seeds, flowers and fruits. Jain diet excludes roots and stem , such potato, beet etc,

Fish have quite high level of plastic in them.

Anyway, all these factoids wont hace much impact on non-veg eaters. The non-veg eaters believe that eating non veg food makes them stronger and better in many ways, and no science reports wont shake their beliefs. Those who want to reduce Jeevdaya should instead focus on law-drafts which reduce the EXTRA subsidy that non-veg food is getting. Yes, non veg food gets far far more INDIRECT subsidy. Solution is to end all indirect subsidies to all farmers and give DIRECT subsidies to each person via ration card shops, and improve ration card shops so that harassment at ration card shops reduce, and they become as custormer friendly as normal kirana shop. So those who are eating grains will no difference in (incresed price - increased subsidy). But those who are eating meat will face the real price,
