BBC journalist had promised to prison authority that she would NOT air video made in prison without approval of prison officers. Yet she did. She as well as BBC has clearly broken the law. It is fit case to arrest and prosecute her and ban BBC.
.
I havent seen BBC interview and nor I will waste my time in seeing that sh1t. Many BBC-lovers' have pet argument --- "Have you seen the interview? How can you say that without seeing the interview? You have no right to comment on interview unless you have seen it !!" Consider a 10 feet deep ditch full of dog cr1p , and then asking " how can you tell this is cr1p without taking bath in it !!? You must first take bath in the ditch before saying that it is cr1p". Anyway, they are welcome to make million DVDs of the interview and distribute it for free. (and many are doing it).
.
But when I heard about this interview, I was about to start campaign to get the prison officer imprisoned who sanctioned this video. Because I know the prison laws a bit, and I know that any conversation made in prison cannot be brought to public without explicit approval of prison officers or courts.
.
But now its cleared that BBC interview taker had cheated. She smuggled the video out of prison without giving it to prison officers and without taking their approval. It was overlook on part of low ranking prison officers. I dont think officers should be faulted --- the violation was done by journalist.
.
And despite violation, BBC aired the show.
.
So IMO , it is time Home Ministry calls a Jury of 1500 voters chosen from India of voters between age of 35 years and 55 years , and let them decide if BBC should be still allowed its operation in India, and if the journalist should be imprisoned , and for how many months. I am in Jury , chances are high that I would ban BBC in India for 5 years and imprison journalist for (12 months - 33% discount for age - 17% discount for being woman) = 6 months. I cant speak for other Jurors.
.
And trust me, no one would miss BBC. All BBC does is make shows that prove that "all Indians except those who love BBC demented sociopaths". Well, have NDTV, Times of India, Indian Express who make same shows etc all the time. So all BBC-lover needs to do is to out sticker of BBC on his TV where NDTV comes, and he wont notice the difference. Or , they can install app in their settop box which will replace NDTV logo with BBC logo, and they can enjoy "all Indians , except those who love BBC, are all demanded sick people" type shows.
.
So solution I propose is --- please order you MP via SMS to ban BBC. Please send SMS to MP with "‪#‎BanBBCafterJuryTrial‬" hashtag.
