How ATT = AT&T had killed telephony neutrality long back in 1960s by bribing the then senetaors and FCC members using 1-800 services. And net partiality is same as 1-800
.
Those who know a little bit about ATT say that "ATT was Don Carlenone of telecom business". And those who know more about ATT say that "Don Carleone was a small time ATT of mafia business !!"
.
Thats aside, ATT paid huge bucks to scientists, economists, paidmediamen, senatirs and FCC board members to so that all make statements in favor of telecom monopoly. And then it created 1-800 service to kill small competitors in many businesses which heavily need phone calls to survive.
.
Back in 1950s till 1990s , phone calls were very expensive. In 1990, when I was in US, I remember that cheapest long distance call from NJ to NYC wold cost at least 20 cents per minute , which after inflation adjustment would be at least $1 per minute by today's price. And prices in 1980s were even higher.
.
Now ATT in 1960s introduced toll free numbers i.e. "call reciever pays" service. And the way it structured the deals was ---- those who got large number of calls were to pay MUCH less per-minute charges !! I will repeat --- those who got large number of calls were to pay MUCH less per-minute charges !! As an example, if a party gets 1000 minutes worth calls, it would pay say 20 cents per minutes. And the party which gets say 100,000 minutes will have to pay only 5 cents per minutes !! IOW, the price structure adversely effected small players and pushed them out of businesses which need large phone call minutes.
.
Did FCC stop them ? NO. FCC promoted toll free numbers.

Net partiality is same as 1-800 numbers. It says that website-owner will pay and NOT end user. Sooner or later, all large parties such as Congress, BJP, AAP will favor net partiality. Why? Because it helps them in ensuring that no new political parties come up. HOW? The phone companies can structure the deals as website owners has to pay say Rs 100 per GB of traffic if traffic is below 100 GB per month, and will have to pay Rs 10 per GB if traffic is above 10000 GB per month !! So large entities will have higher traffic and will get much smaller per GB rate and will have an edge over small players.
.
Solution is NOT to send email to corrupt TRAI Chairman etc. These TRAI people like their brothers in US's FCC have sold their souls long back. Only after soul selling transaction is over and verified , they are appointed as TRAI Chairman.
.
Solution is to order MPs via SMS to print law-drafts which increase competitiveness in wired-ISP and wireless-ISP business. This will bring down prices of net access to a low, and disperse the whole issue of "who will pay", except in case of videos where data is huge. Which law-drafts can reduce the net access prices and telephone call prices?
