How RSS-apex \ BJP-apex are hijacking temples' wealth / incomes , and how it will be good in short run and a disaster in long run. Solution --- the activists should publicize the law-drafts to create SGPC like structure over temples

RSS-apex and BJP-apex got tons of votes by opposing Congress Govt's moves to control temple and siphon out temple's donations and wealth. All along, RSS-apex and BJP-apex never proposed any law-drafts to remove Govt control over temples.

We at Right to Recall group also opposed Govt control over temples. The solution we proposed was to print law-drafts that would enable Hindus to either
.
(a) continue with existing oligarchic ownership of temples OR
.
(b) enable to setup SGPC like structures over the temples.

Myself and most of recallist support (b) over (a), but the law-drafts we proposed does NOT enforce (b) over (a). The law-drafts we proposed enables existing temple owners to setup (a) OR (b). And the bhakts aka followers in the sect can form a new sect with SAME beliefs which has structure (b) OR then can pressurize / incentivize existing temple owners to change structure of existing temple management from (a) to (b)..

As always, RSS-apex, BJP-leaders opposed these law-drafts. They have oppose the proposal of printing law-drafts that will enable Hindu temples' followers to ceate an SGPC like management structure over temples.

What RSS-apex and BJP-apex are now planning is to create the management boards over temples , and these boards will be filled by men appointed by RSS-apex and BJP-apex.

This is similar to what Papacy did in Italy / Rome some 1700 -1800 years ago. Papacy grew because most Pagan temple owners had become self seeks and followed inheritance over temples. So most temple owners in Rome had become self-seekers and were losing faith in Pagan temples. Papacy created a structure where Priests have to remain unmarried. Though a formal rule, that "Priest must NOT marry" came much later, but informal rule that "only unmarried men or men who have given uo their marriage and family will be allowed to be become Priest": came in around 300 AD. And promotions were given only to unmarried priests. And Pagan priests back then had business / jobs etc. While Papacy allowed priests only to do jobs which were given or approved by Pope and Clergy as a whole. And Papacy forbade priests from owning their own property and doing their own business or taking jobs. Particularly, jobs in Govt were forbidden.

This made Catholic Priests more community serving , more committed to organization work and less self serving compared to the priests of the Pagan Temples of Rome , Italy and across Roman Empire, The Roman Emperors and Governors also saw that Papacy / Catholic Priests are more dependable than Pagan Priests and common citizens are having more attachment with Catholic Priests than Pagan Priests. And so influence of Pagan Priests declined and that of Catholic Priests grew. Gradually, Papacy Priests took over Pagan Temples and converted them into their churches, and in most cases, they were supported by Roman elite as well as commons.

In short, 1700 years ago, Pagan Temple owners in Roman Empire were married, had businesses of their own, and so they practiced inheritance over temple wealth, and so became self serving and less community serving. In contrast, Papacy enforced "priest will not marry, not have kids, not have job, not have business" rule and so Papacy as a whole was more community serving compared to owners of Pagan Temples.

And so Papacy's influence grew, and they started taking over Pagan temples and converted them into Churches, Many many Churches in Rome are former Pagan temples !!!

Almost same happened in large parts of India, East Asia, China etc. The Buddhist Monastary implemented the rule that "priests must not marry, not have kids, not have job, not have a business". And so they became more committed organization work, community serving and less self serving. So several followers of other sects left their sects and became Buddhists. So Buddhism, across Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Myanmar = Burmma, Cambodia, Thailland, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, Japan grew and displaced their respective Pagan religions. Hinduism recovered only after several sects also adopted the rule that "priests will not marry, will not have kids, will not have job and will not have business".

However, around year 1500 AD Sikhism formulated , IMO, a far far better way of managing Temples i.e. Gurudwara. Sikhs created a system where the local Temple head was directly elected , formally or informally, thru voting by every adult Sikh citizen in that area !! And the temple head would have a term of 2 years to 5 years, and repetitions were discouraged. In my links given above, I have explained why / how this methods is far far superior than all other three methods ---- control via inheritance, control by community elders and "control by organization of unmarried priests". So in a short span of 200 years, Sikhism became so powerful, that they gained rulership over Afghanistan, Pakistan, Baluch, Sindh, Punjan and even Kashmir. At that time, Sikhs were hardly 5% of the total population of the area under their command. They could NOT replicate the structure over entire administration, and so administration outside temple was run in same inheritance based way (see how Sikh Kingdowm was managed after death of Maharaja Ranjit Singh). And so British could defeat them. (pls google on two "Anglo Sikh wars"). But till date, their temple management method, i.e. direct election of temple heads, has been, IMO, the best, or say, least bad method to run temples.

Now lets fsee present day India.

A large number of Sanatani Temples are ridden with disputes amongst owners. Some temples have as many as 500 to 1500 owners !! Thats because, some 500 years ago, that temple was made by a King who gave it to 5 priests. Then some 12 sons of those 5 priests became owners. Then some 30 sons of sons became owner and so long. And now there are 500 to 1500 owners. And the are are some 200+ cases in courts involving claims and disputes amongst these 500 owners. So Congress govt excuse to take control over the temples. And then they started siphoning temple's donations and wealth.

RSS-apex is far far less bad than Congress, because "RSS's apex and middle layer dont marry, dont have kids, dont have business and dont have jobs". Please note --- when I say "dont have jobs and business" , I do NOT mean that they are NOT capable to do job and business. " They are very much capable of doing business / job, but they have decided not to do job / business and focus on organization work.

So RSS-apex and BJP-leaders have managed to defeat Congress. And so now they have defacto control over the temples.

So now, RSS-apex and BJP-leaders are trying to setup boards and trusts, which will manage / control all the temple wealths. And BJP-leaders and RSS-apex are filling these boards with men appointed by RSS_apex and BJP-leaders. IOW, BJP-apex and RSS-apex are becoming temple owners

And this will be better in short run ---- because RSS-apex men are less corrupt than Congress etc

But it will be long a term disaster. For one, we already have far far better KNOWN and PROVEN way to manage temple --- create SGPC like structure. But RSS-apex and BJP-apex are opposing this SUPERIOR method, and insisting on far far inferior methods i.e. control of temples by their men.

The long term disaster will be because the temples, under RSS-apex, will NOT able to compete against Missionaries, who are backed by US economy. The strength of Missionaries comes from US economy, and also because MNC-owners keep watch on Missionaries' management !! In case of protestants, the MNC-owners are themselves trustees Protestant Churches and directly manage the Priests. In Catholics, the MNC-owners are the big donors to Catholics, and at the time of giving donations, they setup conditions which enable to manage the Church'es activities.

So Missionaries are better managed , than what management RSS-apex can provide. In addition, Missioanries have far far more funds because they are funded by US economy and MNC-owners themselves.

So what we need is to have BEST possible management over temples. And best management IMO is to create SGPC like structures. Whereas RSS-apex insists on oligarchic structres, which are far far inferior than SGPC like structures.By creating oligarchic structures , where controllers are "unmarried, have no kids, have no personal business, have no personal job", the temple management will be better off than what is now, but will fail to compete against Missionaries. So betterment will create an illusion that now Missionaries can be defeated. And that illusion will create more damage than good the betterment brings.

Solution I propose is that activists should compare and contrast the ways how following places of worship are managed (a) Sanatani temples , where inheritance is practiced (b) Mosques (c) Catholic Papacy Churches (d) Protestant Churches (e) Church iof England (f) Buddhist Monasteries (g) and finally, Gurudwara and SGPC act

Then a cursory comparision will prove to many, that THE BEST method is to have SGPC like structure;.

(Note against argument that SGPC is a British law ---- though SGPC act was written by British in 1925, it was drafted by Sikh leaders in 1925, and British were forced to print it against their will !! The British wanted a structure where Gurudwara heads are 5 Sikhs appointed by the Crown !!! This proposal was rejected by Sikhs, and Sikhs gave their own draft where Gurudwara heads were elected. The draft was based on practices they had formulated between 1600 AD and 1800 AD. IOW, SGPC Act should NOT be seen as British law, but seen as law made Sikhs , based on Sikh traditions)

And SGPC is far far LESS INFERIOR way than management by "organization of priests , who are unmarried, have no kids, have no personal business and no personal jobs", which in turn, is LESS INFERIOR than "organization of priests , who are married, have kids, have personal business and have personal jobs".

Next, Missionaries are backed by MNC-owners who are backed by US-economy, which is backed US-administration. And US-administration follows procedures such multi-election, Right to Recall, Jury System and referendum. This makes US administration far more effective and less nexused, and less malacious. And this improves efficiencies of US-ecnomy, MNC-owners, and also Missionaries. IOW, Missionaries are very very efficient. And so we need a VERY EFFICIENT management over temples to survive competition from Missionaries. So IMO, we should NOT settle for "second best" management structure, but only go for the best. IOW, my proposal is that activists should publicize law-drafts to create SGPC like structure over temples and oppose RSS-apex's moves to appoint its own to control temples.
