Wrt the "meat ban on Paryushan" and "meat ban on Ekadadhi" controversy --- Blue laws in USA

Many States in USA promoted so called Blue Laws to increase church attendance on Sunday mornings !!!

As per these laws, sale of liquors is almost prohibited on Sunday mornings !!! Many state also restricted sale of groceries, cars,etc on Sunday morning.

The idea was --- restrict people from doing activities so that chances that they will attend church increases.
.
And more, if and employee wants to attend church, then employer will not ask him to come to work, as employer is legally prohibited from running his business.

Most Blue Laws have been repealed.

But a good food for thought.
