Why cost of medicine is rising and rising to unaffordable levels in India? Because we are IMPORTING and not producing.

In USA, costs are rising. But no American is suffering lack of medicines he needs. Either his insurance or Govt or some Church is there is to pay for his medicines.
.
In India, people do feel crunch of medicines and operation procedures.
.
The reasons are
.
1. USA is manufacturing all medicines and medical equipment in USA. So high costs cause high profits, which increase tax revenue to US Govt which enables Govt of USA to give more subsidies. And also the profits earned by high costs of medicine and medical equipment paid by Americans remain in USA. And so some of the profits do get passed to lower strata of USA by trickle down
.
2. Whereas in India, most medical equipment and medicine patents are imported. And a big share of pharma companies in India is now owned by USA / Japan. So higher costs of equipment and medicines , paid by Indians, results into high profits. But a big share of profits moves out of India to USA / Japan etc. !!! And this doesnt add much to tax revenue of Govt of India. So ability of Govt of India to subsidize doesnt increase. And since profits go out of India to USA / Japan, the trickle down to lower strata of Indians is far far less.

IOW, we are defacto NOT producing medicine patents and medical equipment. We are importing. And so effective cost paid by India as a nation as a whole is rising.

Where as costs of medicine etc rises in USA , but since USA is producing, the cost by nation as a whole is cost paid to itself, and remains low.

SOLUTION?
.
1. Abolish product patent laws and restore process patent laws. Please google on product patent and process patent
.
2. Print law-drafts such as JurySys, RTR, wealth tax, TCP, multi-elections etc so that inefficiencies of factory owner reduces and so manufacturing increases
.
