Yes, thats Rs Eight Thousand five hundred ONLY. Not Eighty Five thousand, only eight thousand five hundred. And there is NO typo.

That includes honorarium of Rs 3500 per month and stationary allowance , which is a princely sum of [drumbeat starts] rupee five hundred per month only [drumbeat ends].

I didnt except salary to be high. But I didnt expect such a joke of Rs 8500 either. I was under impression that it would Rs 50000 pm to Rs 80000 pm.

I am not sure how many voters ar aware of this joke, which is nonsense of highest order. I dont think even 1% voters know that city corporators are paid below some gharghati. (my friend has 12 hour servant to look after his parents, and he gets Rs 9000 pm plus food for twice a day and tea twice a day !!!, which is worth another Rs 3000 pm !! )

It is sickening to see that City Corporators never such low salary as issue for all this decades !!! What do we conclude?

My proposal is to increase salary to Rs 50000 pm and plus allowances of Rs 50000 pm such as phone bill and salary for two clerks.
