A high court lawyer told me that out of 28-29 judges in Gujarat High Court, there is NOT even one dalit judge, not even one ST judge and may be at most 1-2 OBC, or may be, there are zero OBC judges !!!

Why is this information relevant?

So

(1) either , SC / ST / OBC lawyers all have lower "merits" than least meritorious high court judge.
.
(2) OR there is rampant casteism / nepotism in High Court judge selection process in Gujarat .
.
I find (1) very hard to believe. Because some High Court judges in Gujarat are so so so "intelligent": that they wont be able to solve 8th class math problem even after re-tutoring. And forget math skills, many cant write simple bail application and wont be able to write a law-draft proposal to say reduce corruption in lower courts which they administer.
.
And I do know many dalit / st/ obc lawyers who are quite intelligent as well as very well versed with drafting as well as legal work.

Anyway, unless and untill we do narcotest in public on Honorable Gujarat High Court judges, there is no way to tell if nepotism / casteism was practiced in their selection or not.
