(a) with sane mind, decides not to intake food for the rest of his life

(b) and his decision is in accordance with his religious traditions or customs, and

(c) his action has no possibility or intention of causing political or social disruption,
.
then his action will not be taken as attempt to suicide and will not be punishable under this section

यदि आप अपने मतदाता द्वारा इस status की link प्राप्त करते हैं, तो आपको मतदाता द्वारा यह आदेश है कि पधानमंत्री को निम्न ड्राफ्ट भारतीय राजपत्र में प्रकाशित करने का आदेश प्रदान करें|

भारतीय दंड संहिता धारा 309 में जोड़ने योग्य संशोधन -
.
यदि कोई व्यक्ति
.
(a) जिसकी की स्वस्थ मानसिक दशा हो, यदि वह जीवन पर्यंत भोजन न ग्रहण करने का संकल्प लेता है
.
(b) जो कि उसके धार्मिक परंपरा या रिवाजो के अनुसार हो
.
(c) और उसकी इस क्रिया से समाज अथवा शासन में किसी भी प्रकार की अव्यवस्था अथवा विघ्न डालने की संभावना या प्रयास न हो
.
तो उसका वह निर्णय आत्महत्या के प्रयासों में नहीं आएगा, और इस धारा के अंतर्गत दंडनीय नहीं होगा|
